About Acheson Construction Ltd, Dorchester, Dorset

Acheson Construction was originally formed as a partnership in 1974 by Robert Acheson and Lloyd Surcouf, and was incorporated in 1998. Marcus Drysdale joined the board in 2002. The business originally specialised in the restoration and renovation sector but now covers all aspects of the construction process in all sectors.

The current annual turnover is £9m with an anticipated growth to £12m by 2012.

The Company employs well qualified management staff, quality site staff and has an equal opportunities policy which it adheres to in every respect.

Health and Safety is an important issue with the Company and it employs a Health and Safety Officer who carries out regular site visits, producing health and safety plans and risk assessments on each site. The health and safety record of the Company is exemplary and there has not been a serious accident on any of it's sites in company history.

Acheson is an Investors in People company and was successfully reviewed in January 2010.The company feels it is very much a part of

modern management.
