Challenge for 2007

Acheson Construction Rise to the Challenge

Following the company's successful completion of the English Three Peaks Challenge last year, a team of three Acheson personnel lead by their surveying director Marcus Drysdale took part in the Care International Three Peaks Challenge in Spain. It was a three day event that involves tough mountain biking and trekking in the Sierra Nevada in southern Spain. It is described by Care International as 'a serious challenge not for the faint hearted'.

Doug Willcock and Aaron Halcrow are the other members of the team who took part in the challenge which involved the following: Day 1 - 15km 4 hour mountain bike ride, uphill all the way, Day 2 - 18km circular hike over 3 mountains taking approximately 10 hours, Day 3 - 75km mountain bike ride, 20km uphill and 55km downhill taking approximately 7 hours.

Last year Acheson Construction raised in excess of £7,000 for Care International by doing the Three Peaks Challenge and has raised a similar amount this year.
