Top Civic Award Received

Acheson has recently been given the top annual award by the Weymouth Civic Society for the new Weymouth Bay Methodist Church which the company recently built. The Church was built to replace the former Maiden Street Methodist church which was tragically destroyed by fire in January 2002. Rob Acheson attended the award ceremony recently to receive the award and the chairman of the Civic Society praised the high standard of workmanship. The Reverend David Plumb said "This is a great award which recognises the craftsmanship of the building - not only its looks but also usage. It's not just used as a church but for social and community events".

The church has been open for business since March after a two year project.
