Residential Development at Roussillon Barracks

Chichester, Sussex

A residential development of 250 houses situated on the site of the former Rouissillon Army barracks in Chichester West Sussex. Acheson has been instructed to build phases 1(a) and 1(b) which consist of 60 houses which are to be built in traditional masonry construction. The £35m development is planned to be completed over a four year period and has a 25% social element.

The site has a sympathetic ecological landscape design with mature trees and open spaces. The houses are being built to a code for sustainable homes at level 4 which involve high levels of insulation, rainwater re-harvesting and bio-mass district heating.

Acheson was the preferred contractor on a negotiated basis for the design and build of the project.
