Olympic and Paralympics Village

A topping out ceremony recently took place at the Olympic and Paralympics village which the company is building to house the athletes who will be competing in the 2012 sailing Olympics.

Top athlete, gold medalist and world record holder, Jonathan Edwards was the guest of honour and carried out the unveiling of the plaque.

Rob Acheson delivering his speech“With the topping out ceremony at Officers Field today, another milestone is achieved in the preparations for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympics sailing competitions” said Mr Edwards. He then thanked all parties concerned in the development which he said had produced high quality accommodation.

VIPs from the Olympic Authority and local VIPs attended the ceremony and in total 85 guests were entertained with drinks and canapés and speeches.
