Following a devastating fire within the workshop of Snows Motor Group's BMW dealership in Portsmouth, Acheson were appointed main contractor to undertake extensive refurbishment works at the site. The works comprised re-cladding and re-roofing of the existing building shell, extensive refurbishment of the workshop including a complete mechanical and electrical services installation and refurbishment works within the showroom.
After approval was given by insurers, Snows were keen to bring the busy workshop back into operation to continue to meet the high levels of customer service set by the brand. Acheson worked in a collaborative approach with Snows' team at BMW, Portsmouth ensuring that disruption to their operations did not occur. Works within the showroom were completed during out-of-hours to enable the sales teams to continue to sell vehicles uninterrupted. During the programme, we were able to finish sections of the workshop and handover completed areas to Snows to enable them to bring back repair, servicing and MOT services back to the site at Portsmouth ahead of the original contract completion date.
