BMW, North Oxford

This negotiated project comprises the refurbishment, alteration and extension to the BMW & Motorrad Showroom and Workshop for the North Oxford Garage dealership.

Alteration and extension works to the existing workshop has provided the dealership with valuable additional capacity for the repair and maintenance of vehicles which is intrinsic to their business with a substantial increase in revenue. Acheson incorporated the employer’s direct contractors within the main contract programme to provide a fully operational and turnkey solution.

The workshop will now meet current BMW brand standards with a complete overhaul of floor, wall and ceiling finishes including extensive new mechanical and electrical installations. Sales offices, support and ancillary spaces have also been refurbished to meet brand standards.

The works included the provision of new wet and dry valet building and extensive new services and drainage installations and re-configuration of external car parking areas.

The employer’s operations continued throughout the works and sufficient time was incorporated within the programming to facilitate relocation of the existing operations as areas of work were completed and handed over for occupation and new areas of work made available to commence.
