Two further contracts for Barchester Healthcare

Acheson are delighted to announce the securing of the contract for the construction of two further care homes on behalf of Barchester Healthcare, these prestigious projects are the newest additions to the Acheson portfolio making in total 4 number care homes currently under construction for Barchester Healthcare. 

The first home is located in Hamworthy, on the former site of the Crown Closures factory (prior to that it was the Metal Box company) and will comprise of the design and construction of a new, 68 bedroom care home along with associated external works and services and is part of a new development of residential properties, under construction by Barratts. Works on the care home are due to commence in May 2019.

The second home is for a new state of the art 64 bedroom, self-sufficient care home on the former Nautrica Food factory site in Glastonbury Road, Wells. The care home will be split over two storeys with several communal facilities and services, including day rooms, a cinema, hair and beauty room and an activity room. The site makes up part of a wider residential development of 143 houses, construction by others, most of which is almost complete.
