Everdene House (Formerly Naden House), Dorchester, Dorset

This interesting commercial project comprised the careful demolition of Naden House, Magna Housing Group's existing offices, salvaging the existing frame, foundations and floor slabs.  Intricate structural remedial works were undertaken to install additional piled foundations to support a new mezzanine floor level.  In addition, the existing structural slab was carefully cut for new edge detailing and levelled.  The resulting remodeled offices provide an excellent open plan working environment with break out space and individual quiet rooms for private meetings.

The client was very particular with a brief designed to provide a high level of control of the indoor climate.  A complex mechanical and electrical installation was required to be designed and installed under a Contractor's Design Portion to provide flexible end user control of heating and ventilation.

The new office building is know known as Everdene House.

Having worked with Magna Housing Association over the years on a number of affordable housing projects, we were pleased to be entrusted with the building of its new office accommodation within walking distance of our own offices in Dorchester.
