Wilton Place Care Home, Wiltshire

Wilton Place care home at Wilton Hill, Wiltshire is the fifth contract delivered on behalf of repeat client Barchester Healthcare.

The project involved the design and construction of a three storey, 66-bed care home at Wilton Hill in Wiltshire. The new care home has approx. 3412.6m² of floor area and consists of two, two storey ‘L’ shaped wings either side of the three storey communal hub, which also provides the buildings main entrance.

The roof covering is reconstituted slate, and the walls buff brick and masonry with flint panelling to key façades in keeping with the neighbouring Veterans’ Accommodation also delivered by Acheson in 2019.

The home is registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and meets all the required standards. It offers the warm, comfortable and inviting atmosphere required to provide the high standards of care for its residents as well as being accessible and safe.

Acheson are very proud to have delivered such a quality project for this important client which was described by Mark Bennett, Director of Property Services as ‘‘looking absolutely 1st class’’ and has been recognised as a build that sets the standard for other Barchester homes to follow.

The company has successfully delivered further stunning projects in Sherborne, Wells, Hamworthy and West Parley and are under construction at a number of other sites for this client.
