This fantastic negotiated contract for Sovereign Housing Association, involved the construction of 127 residential dwellings consisting of 32 houses and 95 apartments along Sopers Lane in Poole.
The new Potters Grove development was an important step in order to meet local need and promote sustainable living for existing and future residents.
The scheme has a high quality design and is contemporary in character and the palette of materials used was restricted to ensure that the development complements the local surroundings.
The domestic parts of the site are traditional in style with gabled roof lines and dormer windows with soft buff brick and smooth grey feature detail brick for gable and window surrounds.
The southern area of the site that is in the vicinity of the commercial properties are mainly apartments, which are more contemporary with flat roofs and the inclusion of framed balconies and grey cladding panels to the top storey where they create a backdrop to the large landscaped space.
Vehicle and pedestrian access, car parking, a large play park, hard & soft landscaping and associated works were also included in this contract.
Acheson were also asked to deliver 18 apartments along Buxton Road in Weymouth for Sovereign and are currently under construction.
