The Quadrant - Starter workshops at Winfrith

Dorset Green Technology Park is Dorset’s second largest strategic employment site and major focus for economic regeneration of South Dorset.

Purbeck District Council instructed us to construct two buildings each housing 10 starter workshop units for light industrial use, together with associated outside areas and car parking. The project included proposed roads for access and essential infrastructure to facilitate the future development of the site.

Each unit was constructed with clean lines and modern appearance. The units were set back from the main access road, giving vehicular access and a car park to the front of each unit. The landscaping including both hard and soft landscaping works with the retention of existing trees and further planting of new specimens to mitigate the loss of those trees that required removal.

The client had a strong vision with a brief designed to promote the Dorset Green Technology Park as a viable and sustainable business location. The flexible design of the buildings will ensure the long-term success of the site whilst “raising the bar” of design standards on Dorset Green Technology Park.
